HPD Turbo Kit - Suits Toyota Landcruiser 100 Series 1HD-FTE 1998-2006

HPD GTX Turbo upgrade kits are an excellent way to gain safe and reliable power and torque for your 4.2L turbo diesel 1HD-FTE 100 series land cruiser. 

We use a Garrett turbocharger combined with braided oil and water lines, HPD custom manufactured 3" air intakes. Our turbo kit bolts directly on to the standard exhaust manifold eliminating the need for an aftermarket turbo exhaust manifold saving you money.  

NOTE: Results shown are with auto HDJ100, using high-flowed injectors and GTX2971 turbocharger (no longer available), 3" exhaust system, and Unichip ECU.
Additional tuning (we recommend Unichip) is required to achieve high output figures.
Individual results may vary, as every car is different.

 

EXHAUST:
This Turbo kit has been designed to use the factory exhaust flange, so you can use you existing 3 inch dump pipe if you already have one.

 

INTERCOOLING:
Upgrading your factory intercooler  is important if you are looking to run more than that 13-15psi of boost, however which intercooler to choose depends on a couple of things.
If you intend on towing a large load, live in a hot arid climate or decide to run a larger turbo option, then we suggest you should run our series 2 intercoolers as they are bigger and capable of a larger volume of air with a higher thermal efficiency operating at these more aggressive conditions.

TURBOS:
The turbocharger that is supplied as the base option for the 100 series 1HD-FTE turbo kit is the GTX2867R by Garrett.
We have found that this turbocharger compliments the characteristics of the 4.2ltr 1HD-FTE motor very well. Combining a fast spool rate with reliable power and substantial torque we feel like this option will satisfy 90% of customers looking for better towing capability, highway speed and general 4wding application. These turbos move some serious air speed and are capable of running from 20-30psi all day. Not only are they capable of higher boost application, hold boost longer, have a billet compressor wheel and anti-surge slots meaning Better performance across the board. 
 

GTX2867 GEN II  - LINK - This turbo option with series 2 intercooler and 3" exhaust system you can expect between 150-170awkw (with supporting mods) on standard tyres.

 

NOTE: For these results you will require tuning module, we reconmend Unichip for best results, HPD series 2 front mount intercooler kit, turbo back 3" exhaust, injector upgrade, boost controller, heavy duty clutch (if manual) or valve body upgrade in automatics.
