Actually, passive suspensions are a compromise between safety, comfort and agility: they cannot adapt to changing driving conditions, i.e. they always follow only one best possible characteristic curve.
This is precisely where the special feature of our DampMatic technology comes into play: dampers such as the BILSTEIN B6 Camper Advanced can switch between two characteristic bends without a solenoid valve, i.e. mechanically, because they have a second chamber inside the damper. The vehicle remains stable due to the deflection of the amplitudes without additional components, cables or control units. The adjustment system responds very sensitively and quickly: for example, it swallows the noise on rough asphalt and improves the rolling behaviour at the edges of bridges or on cobblestones or roots. The effect is also noticeable in bends and when changing lanes: when the bypass closes and the shock absorber is set to firm, the passengers do not perceive this as hard, but as comfortable.
