Why do they electroplate their battery trays? Batteries, by nature, are extremely corrosive. Their high acid content means they sweat or give off fumes if put under load or are subjected to too much heat. The electroplated coating protects the metal in the battery tray from being corroded by the acid.

Tray mounts behind cranking battery on passenger side. Bolts in using existing threaded holes and one drilled hole that requires a right angle drill. Tray requires the use of a special top mount that secures the battery to the scuttle panel.
