Why do they electroplate their battery trays? Batteries, by nature, are extremely corrosive. Their high acid content means they sweat or give off fumes if put under load or are subjected to too much heat. The electroplated coating protects the metal in the battery tray from being corroded by the acid.

This cradle is only for the 2017-4/2022 Ford Ranger with the Ford factory tub liner that has an auxiliary power outlet towards the front of the factory tub liner. Tray fits over the passenger side wheel arch and requires cutting the tub liner to allow fitment.
