What is an ArcPit spare tyre fire pit?
An ArcPit is a portable fire pit from ArcMate that travels over a compatible external spare tyre. At camp, remove it from its mounting position and place it on a suitable surface. Its appeal is straightforward: carry your campfire outside your storage area, with no flat-pack fire pit to assemble.
Why buy your ArcPit from APC4WD?
Your camping setup starts well before you reach the campsite. Where will everything fit? What can stay outside the vehicle? Which accessories will you actually use? At APC4WD, you can shop your fire pit alongside 4WD, camping and caravan gear, rather than treat it as a separate purchase.
We are an Australian-owned 4WD accessories retailer with a physical store in Western Sydney. That means you have a local team to contact about your order, tyre fitment questions and accessory selection. Whether you are getting ready for a weekend away or a longer touring trip, make APC4WD your first stop for ArcPit.

The ArcPit story: making better use of your spare tyre
ArcMate co-founder Michael developed the ArcPit after looking for unused space on a camping setup. The spare tyre offered an alternative to packing a fire pit inside the vehicle. ArcMate opened pre-orders in September 2024 and has since expanded into a wider campfire cooking range.
That story explains why this product belongs in a touring setup: the design solves a packing problem before you even light a fire. Read ArcMate's original ArcPit story for the background.

Then build around the meals you enjoy at camp. APC4WD lists the ArcMate BBQ Plate, BBQ Grill, BBQ Rotisserie Battery Kit and Pizza Oven, plus storage bags and other accessories. Check compatibility and what is included on each listing.

Can I collect my ArcPit near Penrith?
Yes. Order from our ArcMate range online for Click & Collect at APC4WD in Jamisontown, near Penrith, then wait for our ready-for-collection message. You can also buy in store. We do not deliver ArcMate fire pits or accessories.
Will an ArcPit fit my spare tyre?
Fitment depends on the model, tyre dimensions, clearance and mounting arrangement. Have your tyre size ready and contact APC4WD before ordering if you are unsure.
Can I use it at any campsite?
Check the campsite's rules and current fire restrictions before use. A portable fire pit does not override a fire ban. Follow the manufacturer's operating and transport instructions.
